The Role 

Account Executive, New Business

What You Will Be Doing

  • Partnering with and supporting the SVP New Busines Director and Managing Director North American to drive growth.
  • Participate in high-value new business client pitches.
  • Influence and provide support to portfolios across the US Canada region to cultivate and drive organic growth/cross sell opportunities with existing clients.
  • Support and help strengthen our new business development process.
  • Keep up with client and market changes, leading to new business opportunities.
  • Contriubte to relationship building with key stakeholders within the Omnicom network.
  • Contribute to a positive ‘new business hunting’ culture at all levels in the office.
  • Support the agency’s positioning in the marketplace.
  • Build deep, trusted, relationships with internal stakeholders to facilitate new business opportunities and build credibility for the agency.
  • Apply critical and creative thinking along with the pursuit teams to propose solutions to client problems and need.
  • Attend internal and external networking events to assess market conditions and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Support teams on the successful implementation of the new business strategy with a focus on integration, performance, and measurable results.
  • Writing RFP’s, developing case studies, packaging agency stories, creating video and digital assets to help sell our work.
  • Organizing new business reports – outlning current activity .
  • Be a trusted and valued partner to people across the agency.

The Experience That Will Contribute To Your Success

  • 2-3 years of business or marketing experience  - experience in a PR agency and/or working on new business is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a communications, marketing and/or business discipline 
  • Should be a proactive go-getter with the ability to work independently 
  • Has both creative and analytical capabilities 
  • Advanced abilities in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint and proficiency in Microsoft Excel 
  • Familiarity and technical know-how on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn; knowledge in emerging social media trends and platforms 
  • Experience with Salesforce, Google Analytics or website platform technologies is a bonus 
  • Ability to serve on project teams, work collaboratively, accept assignments and manage projects to successful deliverables 
  • Strong writing skills
  • Detailed oriented with a never settle attitude
