We are currently seeking a hands-on and highly skilled Vice President, U.S. Business Development, to lead new business efforts for the U.S. and to support the North America Business Development function.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Drive the region’s largest pitches, leveraging strategic business development expertise and best-in-class pitch processes to garner substantial new business revenue
  • Partner with senior leadership to navigate client conflicts, qualify opportunities and identify key personnel for pitches
  • Oversee the dissemination of best practices, quality upkeep and the transformation of sharing behaviors
  • Spearhead the development of an asset library for the network
  • Supervise development of weekly, monthly and annual win rate and pipeline reporting
  • Cultivate collaboration across the entire network by leading a network of “knowledge managers,” which consists of delegates from each business hub
  • Support marketing activities ad hoc


The role requires strong in-person and virtual presentation skills, building and expanding professional networks, business acumen and curiosity to uncover clients’ potential needs, and fearless collaboration with internal and external teams. Experience working in global networks is an asset.


Candidates will be agile, collaborative team players with the ability to successfully provide operational support for the new business pitch process within an agency environment and will have a strong, demonstrated capability in project management and leadership.  This position is a hybrid role that offers great opportunities for an individual with a passion for business development and marketing across the Porter Novelli network. The Vice President, U.S. Business Development will report directly to the SVP, Business Development, North America, and work closely with the leadership across North America.

The Experience That Will Contribute To Your Success

  • Minimum 8 years of marketing communications experience, with a majority of experience in a business development related capacity
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial or intrapreneurial success
  • Experience working in a global network
  • Experience in public relations, marketing, or advertising, as a strategist
  • An excellent writer and presenter

The anticipated salary range for this position is $150,000 - $170,000. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
